Cookie Dough Money Due –
The cookie dough fundraiser is coming to an end and the money is now due. The sale was a huge success, but now we have the job of collecting all the money. Thank you to all that helped with this project.
Washington DC Information –
The initial $50 deposit is due. Be sure to check the travel company’s website at http://www.music-travel.com/ or call 1-800-616-1112 if you have any questions on payments. All payments are made to the travel company and not to the band department. Please call BMS extension 11505 (Mrs. Cook) if you would like help enrolling online or need access to the internet. Mrs. Cook can help you through the process or set up a time for you to come in and help you set the account up here from the band building. The total enrolled at this time will determine how many buses we take.
Fall Concert Dates –
I am happy to announce our fall concert dates. The 7th and 8th Grade Bands will play in Schafer Auditorium on October 29. The 6th grade band will perform on November 21 in Schafer Auditorium. As always, our concerts are free and open to everyone. Students should dress appropriately for the event. Boys should wear nice pants and a dress shirt or sweater. Our young ladies wear a nice outfit or dress.
Both the 7th and 8th grade band will perform the same night. The 7th grade will perform first and then the 8th grade will play second. 7th grade is welcome to stay, but it is not required. Parking is tight the night of 7th and 8th grade concerts. The 7th grade parents and students leaving will open up parking spots for our arriving 8th graders and parents. Here is a rough time frame for the evening. The 8th grade start time could run a bit late if the 7th grade runs long or the transition on stage is slower than expected. Both bands will play about 30 minutes.
