Cookie Dough Arrives Oct. 9 –

First of all thank you for helping us have our best sale to date. It will help our program so very much and make a big impact on what we can do for our students.

The cookie dough will arrive Wednesday, October 9. It will be available for pick-up from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm in the lower level of the band building. The band building is just north of the main building and you can enter the west door by buzzing the intercom button next to the door. This product is delivered cold and should be delivered right away or kept cool until it can be delivered.

Congratulations to the Marching Stars –

The Marching Stars had a strong showing this past weekend at Corydon Central. The Stars finished in second place and won the award for Best Visual. Congratulations to the Stars on a another great finish. Good luck in the festival this weekend at Springs Valley.

We have a lot of Bedford MS Alumni marching with the Stars and I hope our current students and parents will be involved in this outstanding program when they get to BNL.

Fall Concert Dates –

I am happy to announce our fall concert dates. The 7th and 8th Grade Bands will play in Schafer Auditorium on October 29. The 6th grade band will perform on November 21 in Schafer Auditorium. As always, our concerts are free and open to everyone. Students should dress appropriately for the event. Boys should wear nice pants and a dress shirt or sweater. Our young ladies wear a nice outfit or dress.

Current Class Standings –

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands earn points for group work ethic, concentration and effort. Individual tardiness, talking and lack of effort lower the ensemble’s daily score. Here are the results for this week:

Period 1 8th Grade Band: 56 points

Period 2 8th Grade Band: 29 points

Period 4 6th Grade Band: 33 points

Period 5 6th Grade Band: 24 points

Period 6 7th Grade Band: 30 points

Period 7 7th Grade Band: 16 points

Have a great week!
