Congratulations 6th Grade Band

Congratulations to our beginning band members on a terrific concert. You did a great job and I am very proud of you. The crowd was fantastic and the overall evening was a success. Thank you for your efforts on and off the stage.

After School Lessons

Free lessons are available after school until 3:30 each day. On days I have a faculty meeting or am not at school there will not be lessons, but that doesn’t happen very often.  Students need to let me know during  class that they will be staying and have made arrangements to leave at 3:30. I’ve had several students take advantage of the help. Solo and ensemble students should make sure to stay and pick out a piece for the festival in Feb.

Pappa John’s Pizza Cards

Students traveling to Washington D.C. will have the opportunity to sell Pappa John’s Pizza Cards to help pay for the trip. The cards sell for $10 and the students will receive $7 credit for every card sold. Pappa John’s has been terrific to work with on this project and the cards will be here soon. They make great stocking stuffers and gifts for the holidays.

Band Students in Upcoming Performances

Keep an eye out for some of our band students performing with other groups during the upcoming holiday season. We have band students performing with the BMS Orchestra and BMS Choir next week. We also have several students performing in the churches they attend. I’m so happy to see so many of our students taking the skills they have and performing with others. Good Luck to all of our students branching out and broadening performance skills.
