I can’t begin to express how happy and excited I am to start this school year. I’ve missed the students and I am so happy to see them all again. I am always amazed at how much they grow over the short summer.
We’ve got an exciting year ahead of us filled with great opportunities and experiences. The first items on the agenda include helping the 6th graders choose and locate instruments and putting together the roster of 7th and 8th graders going to Washington DC.
The 6th grade won’t need instruments yet because we will spend this week finalizing instrument choices with them. Keep an eye on this website for updated 6th grade information. Feel free to check the links for Paige’s Music and Melody Music Shop for prices and options.
The 7th and 8th graders need to get forms filled out and turned in to be considered for the Washington DC trip. It is going to be a wonderful opportunity, but we are limited on space. We have forms available at school and also linked to this website. The 7th and 8th grade band will begin playing on Thursday, Aug. 18.
